Stage 1 scraping
this is an upcoming stage for Restoring Windermere Bay
Excavation work begins to scrape the eastern side of the saltmarsh.
Beginning mid February 2025
Boardwalk construction
this is an upcoming stage for Restoring Windermere Bay
Upgrading old boardwalk over saltmarsh, and installation of new boardwalk and bridge extending over Faulkners Rivulet. Linking the tracks on both sides of the bay.
Beginning late February 2025
Stage 2 scraping
this is an upcoming stage for Restoring Windermere Bay
Stage 2 of excavation works will scrape the western side of the new boardwalk. Fencing will be installed around the newly scraped area to limit trampling.
Beginning April 2025
Re-vegetation
this is an upcoming stage for Restoring Windermere Bay
Planting of native species around the restoration area to create a natural buffer.
