The Glenorchy City Council recognises the importance of play.
In 2020, we asked our community to provide their thoughts and ideas about the playspaces at Giblins Reserve and Montrose Foreshore. Thanks to everyone who provided feedback.
Now Council is embarking on a strategy to determine the best design, use, location, and development of playspaces across the whole City of Glenorchy. This will be a long-term strategy aimed at ensuring Council provides and manages these important assets for current and future generations. It will include an assessment of current and future needs.
One Eighty Sport and Leisure Solutions has been contracted to undertake the project which aims to be completed by July 2021. Feedback provided during the Giblins and Montrose Playspace consultation will also help inform this strategy, however we’d like to hear your feedback about all the playspaces across the whole of Glenorchy.
Council invites you to provide your thoughts on play in our community.
