Have your say on Child & Youth Safety in Glenorchy

This consultation has now closed. The Project Team will report outcomes on this page.

Glenorchy City Council wants to know what's most important to children and young people in our community, to guide our planning.

A new law was passed in Tasmania earlier this year called the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act (2023). This law is about making it easier to report your concerns about child or youth safety, and about making sure organisations take children and young people's concerns seriously.

Under this new law, Glenorchy City Council needs to make sure that everyone who works or volunteers for Council, lives in the City of Glenorchy or uses Council facilities understands their rights, their responsibilities and how they can report any concerns about children or young people’s safety.
We also want to know what’s most important for children and young people in the City of Glenorchy, and young people’s ideas for making Glenorchy a safer and better place.

Your feedback will be used to guide Council strategy and decision making.

  • Adult prize: Village Cinema family ticket (4 people)
  • Youth prize (15-24): $50 JB Hifi vouchers
