The Sate Government is investigating new park and ride locations for the greater Hobart area to provide more public transport choices for travelling into the Hobart CBD. More information here.
The new park and ride facilities will help provide more choice for travelling into Hobart’s CBD. The park and ride facilities will offer commuters car parking close to existing key bus routes to experience a more relaxing trip into Hobart. They’ll also be safe and inviting spaces that connect with cyclist and pedestrian routes.
The three locations have been chosen because they are population growth areas:
Claremont Link Road and Maralinga Drive, Claremont
Fenton Street, Midway Point
Pass Road, Rokeby
Community consultation
You’re invited to comment on the concept designs for the facilities.
You can do this at the display in Council's Customer Service area, or by submitting your comments online until Saturday, 30 July 2022 via the online consultation website.
Feedback received will be used to help develop detailed designs for the park and ride facilities.
