A STRATEGY TOWARDS CREATIVE COMMUNITIES - NOVEMBER 2020
“We are a proud city, a city of arts; of opportunity; of partnerships; a city that makes exciting things happen”. This is our community’s vision, developed as part of the Glenorchy City Council Community Plan 2015–2040.
Glenorchy City Council has supported arts and cultural activity in the city for over 40 years. Looking to the future, we’re asking: what would a city of arts look like in 2040? And how can we continue to develop the hub of multiculturalism, arts and culture expressed in the Community Plan?
In August 2020, Glenorchy City Council set about developing an Arts and Culture Strategy as a roadmap for achieving Council’s and the community's aspirations. This draft strategy has been informed by feedback, gathered through a range of community and stakeholder engagement activities between September and November 2020.
We invite you to take a look at the draft strategy and provide your feedback. The project summary provides an overview of the strategy. There is also a document with the strategic goals from the draft strategy. There is a survey below, and a quick poll at the top of the page.
The closing date for this consultation has been revised. The consultation will now close 9am Tuesday 9th February. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Your feedback will inform the final Arts & Culture Strategy.
